Parking is free at street just in front of the building. We visited close to their closing time but we were still taken in. Place is small and tables are wobbly but service and food were beyond our expectations. There's an all-gender restroom which was clean. We appreciated that they tried not rushing us from ordering food or paying. Would recommend this place for anyone looking for a hidden gem

I used to go to Shige all the time when I was in college, and it was always my favorite place for sushi. My boyfriend and I would stop by every weekend when he came to visit, and it never disappointed. We recently stayed in Rohnert Park for a weekend and decided to stop by again and it was just as amazing as I remembered! The sushi is still fresh, delicious, and well-priced. Plus, the owner is super nice and welcoming. If you're in the area and craving sushi, you have to try Shige. It's the best!!

Cute spot in downtown Cotati. The service was very good and the food came out quickly. The seaweed salad was good. The poke salad was too much lettuce and felt like it's fluffed up for no reason. The pieces of tuna were good. The sushi rolls were a blend of flavors. Really like the crazy ninja and Ken Chan. The salmon creek was not my thing but my partner enjoyed it. Overall I think I would come back but there are other similar options for this level of flavor.

I've been wanting to try this place for a long time but every time I went there it was closed. I guess I was going right in between lunch and dinner. I am glad today it was open at the time that I was downtown. The food was very good. I had their chicken Katsu bento box and gyozo. my friend had their tempura and California rolls. Everything was very good. The food came in a timely manner and the waitress that waited on us was very friendly. It's a small little place and the tables were OK not real comfortable but fine

Food was good, fish was fresh. There could be a little more spice and seasoning but that's my only thought regarding the food. There could be some improvements to how they seat customers and then remember they sat them lol. We sat at the bar and after 10 minutes I flagged someone down. After that things were fine. Very nice hole in the wall, decor was cool lots of non dusty objects to look at, especially at the sushi bar. There's an outside area as well. Recommend a reservation as it was packed and a wait had started after we got there.

So many choices of sushi in the area.. Decided to stop here... No Regrets! Cute shop... and decor.. Reminded me of the tv Midnight Diner.. Ordered the cucumber salad with shrimp- carpaccio - dragon roll and Shige roll.. I am really critical on the cucumber salad-- and there are so many places that do not have enough seasonings.. This had the right amount of rice vinegar and sugar.. The rolls were big and filling.. Carpaccio was delish! Definitely coming back!

I have always wanted to try this place my entire life, and I finally got to! The interior is so cute, but small yet luckily they have sone tables outside. Service was great, and all our allergies were handled perfectly. Takoyaki - 5 stars - the first place I've ever been to where the takoyaki was fully cooked to the middle, didn't skimp out on sauces, A+ Shige Roll - 5 stars - great balance between sauce, interior, and toppings; just so freakin' tasty Hamachi Frito - 4 stars - nice and deep fried, but definitely needs some raw fish ontop to balance out the cooked fish in the roll, but still yummy Overall, excellent sushi place in Cotati
